2. Details of Curriculum being offered Standard 3.1 - Curriculum

    

§   Curriculum overview to show ‘scope and sequence’ for the 8 Learning Areas (Handbook pp. 5-7 and Appendix B, p. 47) and/or an overview of curriculum framework currently utilised.

Ø       Other more detailed documentation for each learning area need only be available to the Review Panel during the visit.

Ø       Attach supporting  documentation for all categories of registration being sought [Item 6, Application Form]

It is expected that schools will have ready to show panel members examples of the individual records kept for students at all levels. These records are those normally kept by teachers to monitor student progress against outcomes and to record any individual assessments or test results.

3. Current Staffing Profile Standard 3.2 - Teacher Qualifications

Please provide—

  • Global staffing figures [Item 8, Application Form]
  • List of teachers, their type of registration and their registration number
  • Class/grade/subject or other groupings lists with name of teacher responsible for each group.
  • A copy of the school’s Staff Employment Policy, if one is available.

4. Facilities Standard 3.3 - School Facilities

In relation to the school’s physical environment, panels will seek information   about how the school meets the requirements of the Building Act 2000 (see flyers The Building Act 2000, A Guide and Maintenance of Essential Safety & Health Features & Measures). Schools will utilise their Annual Maintenance Statement and the Maintenance Schedule to indicate their compliance with Standard 3.3. The Facilities Standard Statement of Compliance Form assists schools to document their compliance.

  • Provide copies of Occupancy Certificates for post-1994 buildings and copy of Annual Maintenance Statement for entire premises

  • Provide a brief description of the facilities in which the school is presently conducted. 
  • Note any changes to facilities since previous registration.

12. Review and Development Standard 3.12

Your school is reminded of the requirements for Standard 3.12 (formerly 3.1.4):

The school is required to have

±     collected information and data about school performance;

±      involved the community in the consideration of the information and data;

±     documented a school development plan which includes improvement targets

±     a documented process in place for cyclic review & development and evidence that annual reporting has been provided to your community

 

In summary, your school is required to provide evidence that it    has in place a documented process for cyclic school review which includes annual reporting to its community (Handbook p. 7 & Explanatory Notes p 49).

·     Do not include additional information and policies (eg prospectus, uniform policy). If there is additional material which might help the panel to determine the school’s compliance with the Standards (and not already included) please attach, along with an explanation for its inclusion.
